Road to College

He hesitates as he tries to find the right note
There is no one speaking so there's no need for quotes.

The alto sax is like a story in a book
All you have to do is open your eats and take a look

Jazz is a journey; the saxophonist is a raconteur
The fans in the jazz club screaming they want more.

You can tell that his notes of rhythm and blues produce depth
For his panache is greatly seen and his skills are uniquely adept.

For fear is not his horn he doesn't possess
For his sound is so intrepid as the beautiful sound comes out

As the band follows him into the land of the unknown
His horn now in the heavens for it has stretched its wings and has flown

As the song moves on and towards the end of the song
All the people can do is nod their heads to the beat and dance along

Since the last note is played and the musicians take a bow
The lead alto sax says I think I'll write some more jazz

Tick,tock, tick, tock, tick, BOOM!!!!
What noise was that? Did you hear it? Could you feel it?

That's your destiny calling you;
Will you accept the challenge or be intrepid and fall back?

Every second is whispering to you don't let it be acrid
Only you can decide your own fate.

Do not feel trepidation when the doors of your gate open
Only on your own two feet can you walk in

Decision-making is essential and substantial
Only you can judge your own judgment which is judgmental

For skill is necessary when it comes to getting the job done right
In order to reach your destiny you must be belligerent and not afraid of the bright lights

Tick, tock ,tick, tock right there again, there goes that sound.
What will you do when it comes around
